Quartz crystallises in the trigonal crystal system, although Tiger Eye itself forms in massive, fibrous aggregates rather than visible crystal points.Tiger Eye forms through a geological process known as pseudomorphism, where quartz gradually replaces fibrous crocidolite (a type of amphibole) while retaining its original fibrous structure.
