An outstanding and well-preserved Tragophylloceras ammonite fossil collected
from the Green Ammonite Beds of the Lower Lias at Golden Cap, near Seatown, Dorset, UK—a prominent locality along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. This fossil was discovered on 03 May 2025 by our expert team members Alister and Alison, and has been carefully cleaned, prepped, and treated by Alison.

Tragophylloceras is a smooth-shelled genus of Early Jurassic ammonites in the family Arietitidae, noted for its discoidal shape and involute coiling. It serves as an important marker in Sinemurian stage stratigraphy and is highly sought-after by collectors for its elegant appearance and scientific relevance.
