An exceptionally preserved and rare fossil ammonite: Grammoceras doertense from
the famous Cotswold Cephalopod Bed of the Upper Lias (Toarcian Stage, Jurassic Period), collected at Coaley Woods, Uley, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom. This is a fine-quality example of a slender, evolute ammonite from one of the UK's most fossiliferous Early Jurassic deposits.
